Easter – Named and Sent

John 20:1–18

In the garden, Mary weeps until Jesus speaks her name. Resurrection becomes personal before it becomes proclamation. Death itself is undone, not abstractly, but intimately.

When Mary hears her name, she is restored and sent: “Go and tell.” Easter proclaims that freedom is not only escape from death—it is commissioning into life. We are people who have been untied, and now we are sent to help others live free.
