As a new school year begins, students, teachers, administrators, and school staff all have the opportunity to shape the culture around them. James reminds us to be "quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry" because our words and attitudes have the power to build others up or tear them down. Using the THINK acronym—True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, and Kind—we'll discover a practical way to let our faith guide our conversations, relationships, and responses each day. Following Jesus isn't just about what we believe; it's about how we treat people, one word at a time.
Big Idea: The word tells us we were created in the image of God, so we should listen, speak, and act accordingly.
