Oakhurst UMC is hosting the Basic Lay Servant Ministry Training. This training is for members seeking to serve the church through leadership, caregiving, and communication.

Key details regarding Lay Servant Ministries:

  • Cost: $15 plus the cost of the book

  • Requirements: To become a Certified Lay Servant, individuals must complete the Basic Course and at least one Advanced Course.

  • Certification: Certification requires a recommendation from the local pastor/church council and approval by the District Committee.
