March marks the one-year anniversary of the opening of The Angels of Hope Ostomy Closet and Clinic at the Clearview United Methodist Church. The church's generous gift has been a tremendous blessing! It has allowed us to expand our ministry to serve ostomates in the entire Tampa Bay area.
We are affiliated with the United Ostomy Associations of America. Both the Clearwater & St Petersburg Ostomy support groups have their donation supply closets at our location. In addition, we also help ostomates throughout Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, Hernando, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties. We provide ostomy supplies, assistance, education, and a certified ostomy nurse consult for the homeless, indigent, underinsured, travelers, and any new or long-term ostomate who is struggling. We also offer support & education to area hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, and home health agencies caring for ostomates.
Over the past year, we have done consults for 204 ostomates, answered multiple questions & calls for help & provided much-needed supplies.
We look forward to sharing our heartfelt gratitude during the service this coming Sunday.
