Held in the Silence (Good Friday)
John 19:31–42
The body of Jesus is carefully taken down and placed in a tomb. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus move quietly, honoring him in the stillness of grief. There are no miracles in this moment, no triumphant declarations—only faithful care in the shadow of loss. Good Friday invites us to resist the urge to rush past sorrow toward resolution. Sometimes the most faithful act is simply to remain present when hope feels hidden. The church becomes a place where we accompany one another in the silence, trusting that even here God has not withdrawn.
